Te Puna Reo o Pukehinahina received an Education Review in December 2025. Our analysis of the ERO report shows the service achieves solid grades in curriculum and learning, children's wellbeing, whānau partnership, and health and safety (all grade B), with leadership and governance graded at C. The service has strong whānau involvement and cultural frameworks, though intentional teaching and supervision practices have been identified as areas for strengthening.

ERO reviewed this Gate Pa education and care service in December 2022. The service demonstrates intentional teaching alongside child-led learning, strong belonging for children, responsive transitions, and completed health and safety assurance.

Gate Pa Preschool and Childcare was reviewed by ERO in June 2023. Our analysis of the ERO report identified strong bicultural practice with te reo and tikanga embedded throughout the service, alongside solid support for children's wellbeing through respectful practices and reliable health and safety compliance.

Tai O Fenua Kindergarten is a kindergarten service in Gate Pa, Tauranga, currently caring for 30 children. Our analysis of the ERO report from July 2022 shows B grades across whānau partnership, bicultural practice, health and safety, and leadership and governance, indicating the service meets regulatory standards and takes positive steps in these areas.
