ERO assessed Helen Deem Kindergarten as Not well placed in February 2020. Our analysis of the ERO report graded the service as B across all four dimensions: Curriculum & learning, Children's wellbeing, Whānau partnership, and Leadership & governance.

Queens Preschool is an education and care service in St Clair, Dunedin, with a roll of 29 children. Our analysis of the ERO report shows strong performance across most dimensions: curriculum implementation, children's wellbeing, whānau partnership, health and safety, and leadership all received B grades. Bicultural practice received a C grade, with the ERO report noting that bicultural initiatives are emerging but personalised support for individual cultural identities remains inconsistent.

ERO assessed St Clair Kindergarten as Not well placed in its 2015 review. Our analysis of the ERO report identified B grades for curriculum and learning (with well-planned curriculum and strong environmental setup for exploration) and bicultural practice (with regular integration of te reo Māori, tikanga and te ao Māori into the programme).
