"Kaimahi work from a basis of whanaungatanga as they plan the learning programme, monitor mokopuna learning and evaluate the quality of the learning programme. Planning is detailed, well organised and guides the implementation of kaupapa mahi. Mokopuna learning and progress is documented in mātai i te tamaiti. Kōnae mokopuna are used to capture individual mokopuna growth and development over time. Kaimahi regularly discuss the quality of the learning programme. This is a consistent practice that informs changes and responds to mokopuna learning needs."
Detailed intentional planning, systematic assessment, and consistent evaluation evident.
"Mokopuna learn in a supportive, caring, enjoyable environment. Kaimahi work with mokopuna in a calm, unrushed manner. These approaches result in a natural and calm setting for all. Kaimahi often praise mokopuna for their efforts and achievements. Mokopuna enjoy a learning programme that is familiar and predictable."

How this is computedOne or more dimensions missing from ERO data
Where Te Kōhanga Reo o Waimarama hasn't been graded on a dimension, the composite uses the national average for that dimension as a placeholder. Each affected axis below is flagged est. When a new ERO review lands, the placeholder is replaced and the score may shift.
The composite is a weighted average of six ERO dimensions, each scored 0–100 (A=90, B=70, C=50, D=25). The "(p47)" style suffix shows where the centre sits within its EQI band (peer percentile, when ≥10 comparable centres in band). See methodology for the formula + limits.
