"Mokopuna experience positive learning experiences and outcomes. There is a collective commitment to planning which includes kaupapa planning for all mokopuna and specific planning to cater for individual needs of different age groups. Planning provides guidance about the learning kaupapa, daily activities and kaimahi responsibilities and links directly to Te Whāriki. Mokopuna learning overtime is recorded. Kaimahi use matai mokopuna information to document learning."

"Mokopuna relationships are positive and caring. Kaimahi know mokopuna well. They use this knowledge to support and care for mokopuna. Mokopuna show an awareness of whānau values. Tuākana show manaaki and tiaki to pēpi and mokopuna can be heard laughing and squealing excitedly throughout the day. Mokopuna interact confidently and positively with others."

"Mokopuna enjoy a variety of ways to engage with te reo Māori. They sing and listen to waiata and mahi ā ringa, lead karakia and morning mihimihi. Older mokopuna confidently respond to kaiako questions and prompts and pēpi show understanding through body language and facial expressions. Kaimahi encourage mokopuna to only speak te reo Māori. Mokopuna show they are engaged learners in an environment that connects them to their identity, language, and culture."
