Education Review · 2024-11-21
"Mokopuna are immersed in learning that promotes their independence and growth. The fundamentals of Puawairuatanga permeate the kōhanga reo and are specifically taught through waiata. Kaimahi are proficient speakers of te reo Māori and they serve as strong language models for mokopuna. Their strategies to teach kupu hou and phrases to mokopuna include repetition, modelling and prompts."
Exemplary te reo and curriculum implementation with strong intentional teaching strategies and assessment practices.

"The appraisal process for kaimahi requires strengthening. Although there are some appraisal processes in place, including coaching for kaimahi, there is no clear process of what is done with coaching discussions and information to support kaimahi in their roles. Manager appraisal processes are also not clear."
Strategic direction strong but professional development/appraisal processes lack clarity and effectiveness.

How this is computedOne or more dimensions missing from ERO data
Where Te Kōhanga Reo o Puawairua hasn't been graded on a dimension, the composite uses the national average for that dimension as a placeholder. Each affected axis below is flagged est. When a new ERO review lands, the placeholder is replaced and the score may shift.
