Wonder Kids, Whanganui was reviewed by ERO in December 2023. Our analysis of the ERO report found the service received a B grade for children's wellbeing, with effective relationships and responsive practices supporting children's belonging and emotional wellbeing. Whānau partnership also received a B grade, with strong, intentional partnerships with families and learning-focused communication evident.

Bright Beginnings Childcare Centre is an education and care service in Whanganui Central with a current roll of 37 children. Our analysis of the ERO report identified Curriculum & learning as a B-grade area, with responsive, intentional teaching and active child-led learning grounded in Te Whāriki.

Funhouse Learning Centre received an Akarangi review in September 2024. However, the centre was graded C for health and safety due to non-compliance with safety check documentation and risk assessment recording requirements.

Our analysis of the ERO report from February 2024 graded the service as B in Curriculum & learning, Children's wellbeing, and Leadership & governance. Te Whāriki is effectively used with well-established assessment and planning, strong social relationships are supported, and internal evaluation and professional learning processes are evident and developing.

PAUA ECE 3 is a home-based service in Whanganui Central. Our analysis of the ERO report indicates sound curriculum implementation with effective Te Whāriki practices and established health and safety systems, with previous compliance issues addressed.
