ERO assessed Kerikeri Kindergarten as Not well placed in their August 2019 review. Our analysis of the ERO report identified exemplary practices across all four dimensions examined: Curriculum & learning, Children's wellbeing, Whānau partnership, and Bicultural practice all received top grades, with strengths including inquiry-based learning, positive relationships, strong family partnerships, and authentic te ao Māori integration.

Kerikeri Preschool is an education and care service for 29 children in Kerikeri Central. Our analysis of the ERO report shows the service has strengths in curriculum and learning aligned with Te Whāriki, but has significant concerns: health and safety was graded D with multiple non-compliances identified as creating unacceptable risk to children, and leadership and governance was graded C and requires improvement to meet regulatory standards.

The Ridge Childcare is an education and care service in Kerikeri Central. Our analysis of the ERO report found the service received an A grade for whānau partnership, with collaborative and responsive partnerships aligned to whānau aspirations, and a B grade for leadership and governance, demonstrating strong relational trust and purposeful professional development.

Montessori Children's House Kerikeri is an education and care service with a current roll of 44 children. Our analysis of the ERO report (August 2022) found the service achieved B grades across curriculum and learning, bicultural practice, health and safety, and leadership and governance. The service incorporates bicultural elements and diverse cultural opportunities into its Montessori curriculum, with leadership evident in premises design.
