Our analysis of the ERO report found exemplary performance across curriculum and learning, children's wellbeing, whānau partnership, bicultural practice, and leadership and governance. Health and safety systems were established with management assurance processes completed.

Seedlings Preschool is an education and care service in Edgecumbe with a roll of 58 children. Our analysis of the ERO report (November 2022) shows the service demonstrates understanding of Te Whāriki learning outcomes and meets legal health and safety requirements, though bicultural practice is emerging and areas for strengthening exist across the curriculum.

Te Kōhanga Reo o Kokohinau has a roll of 35 children. Our analysis of the ERO report found strong curriculum and learning practices with planning aligned to frameworks and responsive to community needs. However, significant concerns were identified in children's wellbeing, including unsafe sleeping practices and gaps in emergency procedures and conflict resolution. Leadership and governance showed clear strategic direction and sound personnel management.
