Free public API

Every one of 4,375 licensed NZ early childhood centres has machine-readable siblings. No key needed.

Per-centre endpoints

Every centre page has two adjacent endpoints:

  • GET /api/centre/{slug}/facts.json — structured JSON: MoE basics, roll, age breakdown, ethnicity, Equity Index, 20 Hours ECE flag, operator, suburb, source & refresh timestamp.
  • GET /api/centre/{slug}/markdown.md — same data rendered as LLM-friendly Markdown.

Discovery endpoints

  • GET /llms.txt — short AI-crawler primer, top entry points.
  • GET /llms-full.txt — every centre, operator, suburb and region URL plus the JSON+Markdown siblings (4,375 × 3 + supporting URLs).
  • GET /sitemap-index.xml — Google sitemap index.

Underlying NZ government data is licensed CC-BY 4.0 (data.govt.nz) and Crown copyright (ERO). Attribute the original source and daycarenearme.co.nz where data has been enriched or joined.
